Comparing larch species
Potential advantages of Dahurian larch include higher density and stiffness. A study of Larix gmelinii var. olgensis reported higher basic density than the European larch used for comparison and higher dynamic stiffness than some Siberian larch samples. These are sample-specific findings; shipment properties depend on origin, grading and moisture. Our range combines natural grain, kiln drying and a choice of profiles. The trade name “Siberian larch” may also include Larix gmelinii.
Origin and imports
EU import sanctions cover wood and relevant wood products originating in or exported from Russia. Restrictions concern origin and covered goods, not the botanical name alone. A CoC document and phytosanitary certificate are available for the supplied materials.
